I wrote this song, based on the poem "Do not stand at my grave and weep" by Mary Elizabeth Frye, around 2011-2012, while living in Baltimore, Maryland. I later learned the poet also lived in Baltimore in 1932 when she wrote her work. I thought that was kind of neat.
